I'm Dan Kowalski. I got my master's license in 2014 and started Beacon Electric out of my garage in Walker two years later. Today it's me and one journeyman, which is exactly how I want it. You call, I answer, and the person who quotes your job is the person holding the screwdriver.
Most of my work is older Grand Rapids housing stock: knob and tube in attics, 60-amp panels feeding modern kitchens, aluminum branch circuits from the 70s. I've seen what's behind these walls and I know how to bring it up to code without tearing your house apart.

Services
Panel upgrades
100 to 200 amp upgrades with the inspection scheduled before I leave. Most are done in a day.
EV chargers
Level 2 charger installs, load calculations included so your panel can actually handle it.
Troubleshooting
Dead outlets, breakers that trip, lights that flicker when the furnace kicks on. I find the cause, not just the symptom.
Rewiring
Knob and tube and aluminum replaced room by room or whole-house. Minimal drywall damage, patched where I cut.
Lighting
Recessed lighting, under-cabinet, exterior security. Layouts planned before a single hole gets cut.
Generators and hookups
Interlock kits and transfer switches so the next ice storm is an inconvenience, not an emergency.
